New Track–Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca

Making spectacular use of the world-famous Giza plateau’s intricate network of paths and roadways, this tarmac, gravel, and sand circuit was designed to be enjoyed by rally racers, off-road vehicles, and adventurous road cars.

As you are reading this, the latest NASCAR Daytona 500 has been recorded into the annals of motorsport history—another chapter in the ongoing odyssey that attempts to describe the pageantry, the spectacle, the exploding, three-ring-circus that is the final act of Speedweeks, the month-long celebration of hot, nasty speed at Daytona International Speedway.

 

Some say that the Daytona 500 is the greatest show on Earth. Some say that if it were a Samurai warrior, it would look like Elton John wearing a Donald Duck costume, blaring out Rocketman while cleanly lopping off your head. All I know is that there’s nothing else quite like it.

New Track–Silverstone

One of the world’s premier motorsport facilities, Silverstone plays host to a long list of prestigious series including, most notably, Formula One. Originally the site of a World War II airfield, it is located on the border of the English counties of Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.

Situated outside the small town of Sparta at the very northern tip of the Bluegrass State, Kentucky Speedway comprises a 1.5-mile tri-oval featuring a 1,600-foot backstretch and 14-degree banked turns, and a recently-extended 107,000 grandstand capacity.
