Can You Beat Us at Our Own Game?

QuickRace2.0

by John | October 18, 2012

The unveiling of the Simraceway Community site earlier in the year not only made it super-easy to find answers to game-related issues, it also helped forge a strong bond between players and Simraceway employees. A virtual meeting place where those who help run the game can seek feedback, share ideas, and swap banter with those who matter most, it’s always swarming with the ideas and opinions that keep Simraceway moving forward.

And this Friday we’ll be hosting the fruits of one such idea inspired by our vibrant community–a quest to discover the answer to a much-discussed question on the forum: just how good are Simraceway employees at their own game?

Remembering Dan Wheldon

DW_memorial_blog

by Navi | October 16, 2012

Today we remember and honor our friend, the late Dan Wheldon. Dan was Simraceway’s first pro driver and in part because of that, but more because of who he was, his impact on our world was simply huge. He not only opened the door to his beloved world of IndyCar—which to us was like heading through the wardrobe into Narnia—he did so with a warmth and welcome that was as unexpected as it was disarming.

Radio Le Mans and Simraceway Present the 80th 24 Hours of Le Mans

RadioLM_SRW

by Andy | June 12, 2012

We’re especially excited about this weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, not only because it marks the 80th anniversary of the famous endurance race, but also because we’ll be doing our bit to get racing fans closer to the action thanks to Simraceway’s sponsorship of Radio Le Mans’ live coverage.

Radio Le Mans, featuring John Hindhaugh–the voice of sports car racing–is the official English language broadcaster at the Circuit de la Sarthe and some 90,000 fans are expected to tune into 91.2 FM during the action, relying on John and the team to keep them fully up-to-speed with events both on and off the track.

For those not fortunate enough to attend the race, meanwhile, the station’s coverage is also available online at www.radiolemans.com and can be heard live in the US on Sirius and XM Satellite Radio.

As an official partner, Simraceway will also be broadcasting the coverage on its Livestream channel, so make sure to tune in to hear the best of the action.

Simraceway Receives $5m New Funding

February 10, 2012

Following the successful launches of our game public beta and groundbreaking SRW-S1 Steering Wheel, Simraceway’s creators, Ignite Game Technologies, were last week provided with an extra $5 million of funding, taking the total raised to date to $17.5 million.

This is great news for everyone associated with the project and we’re very grateful to our investors, both old and new, whose foresight and support have been instrumental in helping us bring our vision of reinventing the racing game to life.

However, we’d also like to thank you, our users, as without you Simraceway would just be a bunch of 000’s and 111’s sitting in a server somewhere. You bring Simraceway to life. Your racing, your support and, critically, your fervent feedback are making it one of the most welcoming and lively places to race online.
