It’s fair to say Matt Bell knows a thing or two about winning at Silverstone.
Racing for United Autosports on his British GT Championship debut in 2010, he teamed up with his brother, Rob, to take a memorable G4 class win there. Then, two years later, he partnered Charles Bateman to another victory at the famous old circuit—this time racing a McLaren MP4-12C GT3 (a car he also campaigned at Silverstone in the 2012 Blancpain Endurance Series).
This year he’ll be taking all that valuable experience into an R8 LMS ultra, and hoping to pull off yet another victory for the team with which his name is already becoming synonymous.
Before he started his preparations for his outing in the Audi, though, we sat down with the 23-year-old to find out how he can help Simraceway players excel in this weekend’s unique Hot Lap Event at our virtual Silverstone circuit in the McLaren he knows so well.
