CotA Tournament

by John | October 5, 2012

To celebrate the unveiling of Circuit of the Americas on Simraceway, we’re going to be sending one lucky player on an all-expenses-paid trip to the real thing—and inviting them to experience the fanfare of the first US Formula One Grand Prix in half a decade up close and personal. What’s more, we’re giving you every chance to put yourself in contention for this amazing prize.

Our brand new Circuit of the Americas Tournament will comprise three rounds, all taking place at this awesome Austin-based track. And to make sure as many players as possible can dream of heading to Texas, we’re offering a number of exciting ways to stay in the shake-up for the big prize—and giving drivers as much flexibility as possible by making selected assists available for use.

Qualification

You can set off on your road to Austin right now by joining Round 1 of the Circuit of the Americas Tournament completely free-of-charge. All you need to do to progress to the next stage is make sure you’re in the top 50 places of this Hot Lap Event when it closes on October 7th.

However, even if you don’t manage to make the cut in the tournament itself, there are many more ways to keep your dream alive:

  • You can pay just $3 to buy your way into Round 2, which begins on October 11th.
  • You can take on a selected range of free-to-enter, open-wheel Quick Race 2.0 contests and Hot Lap Events taking place between October 9th and 16th where specific achievements will shoot you straight into the final stages.
  • Up to ten players will even be able to purchase a place on the starting grid at that finals weekend with a $25 entry fee.

For more information on Round 2 of the Circuit of the Americas Tournament, and the other ways of making it to the exciting final stages, stay glued to this blog.

We’ve tried to make this competition as accessible as possible to all our players and we hope this makes it easier to stay involved in its ups and downs during its three-week duration. If you have any feedback on it, our Customer Service team is waiting to hear from you—join the CotA conversation here.

Have fun in Round 1 and we’ll update you on the next stages of this exciting tournament next week.
