With Round 1 complete, yesterday saw the start of Round 2 of our epic Circuit of the Americas Tournament. This Hot Lap competition will run until October 17th, with the top 25 drivers qualifying for the prestigious finals weekend, which takes place on the 20th and 21st.
Don’t forget that if you missed Round 1, or didn’t quite manage to grab a top-50 spot, we will give you the chance to purchase a place in Round 2. Or alternatively, why not read on to discover other ways in which you can catapult yourself straight into the finals–and find out the identity of our first qualifier.

On top of tasting success in the CotA Tournament’s early rounds, there are a number of ways you can make it to the big weekend without spending a cent. We’ve already seen our first qualifier following the completion of our M26@Watkins Glen Quick Race 2.0 contest earlier this week. gtrxu1 clocked an amazing 551.6 miles–a mind-boggling total for a two-day event–to take his place in the final and we wish him well. However there are also five Hot Lap Events currently under way that will yield 20 further final places when they close on October 16. For regular updates on how they are going–and more detail on how they work, including available assists–check out our Community forum. Or, if you fancy entering one, and putting yourself in the picture for our great prize, click on its name below and join via simraceway.com.

The qualifiers from these free-to-play, open-wheel contests will be added to the 25 Round 2 winners and forwarded to finals weekend where gtrxu1 is already waiting for them. There will also be the opportunity for up to ten players to purchase their place in the finals and keep alive their dreams of an all-expenses-paid VIP trip for two to the forthcoming US Grand Prix.
We’ll share more about the make-up the final stages next week on this blog, so keep checking back here.
However you choose to make it to the finals weekend, we wish you luck—and remember, if you have any questions at all, drop our Customer Support team a line. They’re waiting to help you.
